Bishop Gorman, the top team in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings, continues to tear through every team they face. The Gaels are now 8-0, putting in consistent and dominating performances.
In the past three games, Gorman has posted over 60 points in each contest, while only allowing 21 points total. Most recently, Gorman took on Legacy in a 63-7 victory.
Tate Martell needed only six completions to throw for 230 yards and five touchdowns. To accompany a 55-yard touchdown reception, Biaggio Walsh carried the ball for 211 yards and two more scores on just nine carries. Brandon Gahagan reeled in two receptions for two TDs, one 71-yards and the other 23-yards.
The Gaels jumped out to a 28-0 lead in the first quarter. Legacy was finally able to get on the scoreboard in the second, but Gorman tacked on another 21 points to take a 49-7 lead into the half. After a pair of touchdowns in the second half, Gorman walked away with a 56-point victory.
With only two regular season games remaining, Gorman looks unstoppable as it attempts to complete its second consecutive undefeated record. This feat will not come without a challenge as the Gaels host New Jersey’s Don Bosco Prep, which ranks 26th in the nation.
