Hosts Bishop Gorman (NV) has gotten off to a great start in the Tarkanian Classic. Ranking 23rd in the DigitalSports National Basketball Rankings, Gorman entered the tournament with success in mind, and have gotten off to the right start so far.
Led by the offensive power of senior guard Noah Robotham and junior center Stephen Zimmerman, Gorman defeated Lynwood (CA) 63-43 in the tournament’s opening game. The Gaels jumped to a 40-23 lead in the first three minutes of the second half. Chase Jeter added on 15 points of his own, while snagging 10 rebounds.
Facing off against Sheldon in their second game, Bishop Gorman won 65-49, with four different players scoring in the double-digits. Nick Blair led the Gaels with 12 points followed by Miles Loupe with 11 points.
Now Bishop Gorman waits to hear when its next match will be played, with the tournament continuing into Friday.
